Prophetic Pound

"An Object" by Ezra Pound, published 1912:
This thing, that hath a code and not a core,
Hath set acquaintance where might be affections,
And nothing now
Disturbeth his reflections.
He manages to describe computers (and people who turn themselves into them) many decades before their introduction.
